خاندان ارن از ایری یکی از خاندان های بزرگ اشرافی وستروس (Westeros) و مهمترین خاندان اشرافی ویل (Vale) است. جایگاه اصلی آنان ایری (Eyrie) است اما آنان تعداد زیادی جایگاه دیگر به عنوان سکونتگاه موقت خود دارند. برای مثال قلعه زمستانی آنان دروازه های ماه ( the Gates of the Moon )است. نشان این خاندان "آسمانی آبی با یک شاهین درون یک ماه سفید" و شعار آنان به "به بلندی شرافت" است. نسل این خاندان به آندال ها، مردمانی که به وستروس حمله کردند، می رسد. هرچند ازدواج های مداوم خاندان ارن با خاندان هایی که از نسل آندال ها نبوده اند باعث شده است که خون آنان کمترین اصالت خونی را در بین خاندان هایی که از نسل آندال ها هستند داشته باشد.
